The Scoop

We know you want the reel scoop on As Seen By.

So here’s our story.  In 2010, while in a modern world cinema class, co-founders Dianna and Bobby came up with an idea.  Next thing you know, a little white stork in a blue vest was dropping off a child in the suburbs of St. Louis.  Worried about what the baby looked like, Bobby and Dianna simply thought of Mamma’s motto:  “Life’s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.”  Fortunately they loved it and named it As Seen By.

In April 2011 the site launched complete with three new authors.  The goal was simple, to provide the reel scoop about new and upcoming releases and to become a premier destination for film enthusiasts everywhere.  And while the authors sometimes receive sneak peeks and screening passes, they pride themselves on paying at the box office, just like you.  This way, we’ll honestly let you know if it’s worth the ticket price or if your money’s better spent somewhere else.

We understand the arts are risky, sure we all “coulda been” contenders in the corporatized world of America, but this is our passion as aspiring filmmakers, designers and writers.  Hopefully you’ll see our passion reflected in our various writing styles as we identify each movie as a blockbuster or flop.  What happens if our authors have a different point of view?  Then they’ll duke it out in a dual review on a dusty western road and you’ll have to be the judge!

Here at As Seen By we are committed to providing you with the reel scoop no matter what.  We don’t care if we have to punch out “Adolf Hitler 200 times,” be told, “Get your raggedy ass off my porch,” or once in a while “pee in a birdbath.”  This is commitment, this is our “precious,” our “pretty little dog,” and “that’s all.”

So enjoy the site, leave your feedback – positive and negative – and in the meantime identify the genres, quotes, characters and actors from above!  (answers below)
